Hypnotherapy is fundamentally about language and relaxation. Neither requires you to be in the same room. Research on remote hypnotherapy shows comparable outcomes to in-person work across anxiety, habits, sleep, and pain.

A brief check-in, then full hypnotherapy. You'll close your eyes and follow the guided induction while staying fully aware and in control.

What to prepare

Virtual sessions are designed to be low-friction. Here's everything you need:

  • A device with reliable internet (phone, tablet, laptop, or desktop)
  • A quiet space where you won't be interrupted for 60 minutes
  • Headphones or earbuds (highly recommended but not required)
  • A comfortable chair, couch, or even your bed — somewhere you can relax
  • Your chosen platform installed and tested beforehand

Not sure which platform to use?

Zoom is the easiest default. If you don't have it, phone works perfectly for hypnotherapy — audio is all you need for the induction.

Common virtual session concerns

  • Can I be hypnotized over video? Yes. Thousands of hypnotherapy sessions are conducted online daily. The therapeutic relationship and voice carry fully through a screen.
  • What if my connection drops? We'll pick up where we left off. Brief interruptions don't break the therapeutic work.
  • Is it as effective as in-person? Research shows comparable outcomes. Many clients report better results remotely due to the home environment advantage.
  • What about privacy? Sessions are never recorded without your explicit consent. Your space, your control.
